> University of Amsterdam

Located in central Amsterdam, the University of Amsterdam (UvA) is one of the largest research universities in Europe with over 31,000 students. Their academic studies span across seven faculties: Humanities, Social and Behavioural Sciences, Economics and Business, Science, Law, Medicine, and Dentistry. They are ranked in the top 20 universities in Europe and the top 65 worldwide.

> Delft University of Technology

Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) is the largest and oldest Dutch technical university, and is consistently ranked as the best university in the Netherlands. As of 2020, it is ranked by QS World University Rankings among the top 15 engineering and technology universities in the world.

Their eight faculties revolve exclusively around engineering, architecture, geosciences, ndustrial design, computer science, applied sciences and management. TU Delft is a member of several university federations, including the IDEA League, CESAER, UNITECH International, and 4TU.

> Eindhoven University of Technology

The Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) is one of three technical universities located in the Netherlands. Their nine departments revolve exclusively around engineering, system design, computer science and mathematics and are the focus for teaching and research at the university. TU/e is also the Dutch member of the EuroTech Universities Alliance, a strategic partnership of universities of science & technology in Europe.

> Erasmus University Rotterdam

Erasmus University Rotterdam enrolls around 30,000 students and is renowned for its economics and business school. The university has seven faculties and focuses on the following four areas: health, wealth, governance, and culture.

In 2015, Erasmus University Rotterdam ranked as 20th in Europe and 72nd in the world by Times Higher Education, with clinical health as 35th in the world. Affiliated with the university, the Erasmus Medical Centre boasts as one of the largest and most authoritative academic medical & trauma centers in Europe.

> University of Groningen

Founded in 1614, the University of Groningen is the second-oldest university in the Netherlands. With over 31,000 students—of which 7,000 are international—the university is organized in eleven faculties that offer programmes and courses in the fields of humanities, social sciences, law, economics and business, spatial sciences, life sciences, natural sciences and technology. The university's Center for Information Technology (CIT) houses an IBM Blue Gene/L supercomputer as well as a Virtual Reality and 3D-visualisation center.

> Leiden University

Founded in 1575, Leiden University is the oldest institution of higher education in the Netherlands. Known for its emphasis on the social sciences, it was placed in the top 50 worldwide in 2020 in thirteen fields of study, including fields such as public policy and politics. The university is divided into seven major faculties: Archaeology, Governance and Global Affairs, Humanities, Law, Medicine, Science, Social and Behavioural Sciences.

> Maastricht University

Founded in 1976, Maastricht University is the second youngest university in the Netherlands, ranking 10th worldwide amongst Young Universities in 2020. The university enrolls around 18,000, of whom 50% are international students. A noted research platform is Scannexus : a scanning lab offering three MRI scanners, including one of only four 9.4 Tesla scanners worldwide.

> Radboud University

Located in Nijmegen, Radboud University (RU) enrolls over 22,000 students and is known for its top-tier physics department. Its Faculty of Law is also nationally unrivaled and retains strong international ties with other prominent research institutions.

> Tilburg University

Tilburg University is a research university specializing in the social and behavioral sciences, economics, law, business sciences, theology and humanities. They enroll about 15,500 students, 15% of whom are international students. In 2020, the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration was ranked as the 23rd most productive research department in the world, and the 6th in Europe.

> University of Twente

The University of Twente (UT) is one of three technical universities located in the Netherlands. Their degree programs range from business administration and psychology to applied physics, engineering and biomedical technology.

In the field of applied sciences, the emphasis is on nanotechnology, process technology, engineering, information and communication technology, and the biomedical sciences. So far, the UT has produced over 1,000 spin-off companies; more than any other Dutch university.

> Utrecht University

Founded in 1636, the Utrecht University is one of the oldest universities in the Netherlands. Enrolling over 30,000 students, their academic studies span across seven faculties: Humanities, Social & Behavioural Sciences, Law & Governance, Science, Geoscience, Medicine, and Veterinary Medicine. The university was ranked 75th by The Times Higher Education in 2020.

> Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam

Located in the modern business district in the south of Amsterdam, Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam enrolls around 25,000 students and offers more than 120 English-taught Master’s degree programmes, hereby ranking 24th in the Times Higher Education Europe Teaching Ranking 2019. Its research and education revolves around four major themes: Human Health and Life Sciences, Science for Sustainability, Connected World and Governance for Society.

> Wageningen University & Research

Wageningen University & Research (WUR) is a collaboration between Wageningen University and the Wageningen Research foundation. The university is recognised as the world's best in the field of Agriculture & Forestry according to the QS World University Rankings, and teaches about 12,000 students from over 100 countries.

The university focuses on three related core domains:

Food and food production, Living environment, Health, lifestyle and livelihood.
